What Taplog is
Taplog is a web-based food diary. It runs in your browser, stores your entries on your own device, and offers an optional paid plan called Taplog Pro. These terms govern your use of the website and the app.
No account required
You can use Taplog without registering. You are responsible for the device and browser you use, and for keeping backups of data that matters to you. Clearing your browser data deletes your diary permanently, since no copy exists elsewhere.
Subscriptions
Taplog Pro costs $4 per month and is billed through our payment provider, Polar Software Inc. When you subscribe you enter a agreement with Polar for payment processing; we receive only a license key and its validity status, never your payment details. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel at any time through your Polar account or the cancellation link in your purchase email; access to Pro features ends at the end of the paid period.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you have the statutory right of withdrawal for digital services as provided by law.
License key rules
A Pro license key is personal. Do not publish or share it. Keys found to be abused may be revoked. Activation binds the key to nothing more than your browser's local storage; re-activating on another device just requires entering the same key again.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site or the licensing infrastructure. Do not resell the service. Everything else about how you use your own diary is your business.
Health disclaimer
Taplog is a logging tool, not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Calorie and nutrient values come from curated reference data and user input and are estimates. Consult a qualified professional before making significant dietary changes.
Warranty and liability
Taplog is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost data, or lost profits arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
